I carrot beer it anymore!
Talk about hopping mad. The story about the carrot beer collaboration between Four Hearts Brewing and Kalfresh Vegetables has been insane.
This week craft brewer, Wade Curtis, and my hubby Richard, appeared on The Today Show and The Project. Wade also did more radio interviews and the story has been followed up by more online publications.
Where will it end?
The first 1200litre batch of carrot beer is nearly finished and a second batch is in the works.
For farmers, the hype around carrot beer is great news. Diversification is at the heart of running a successful farming business these days. It’s no longer good enough to just supply one product. To use the whole crop – ugly veg and all – savvy farmers need to be thinking about finding homes for every single vegetable they grow.
Enter products like the carrot beer.
